Surely, you have heard about the famous Korean dish Kimchi cabbage. For its preparation, rather specific ingredients are required. Which are difficult to find in a simple store. A delicious Chinese cabbage in a spicy marinade will be an excellent alternative to a Korean dish. The dish is prepared in just 5 minutes, and its taste cannot be underestimated.
For cooking you will need:
- Chinese cabbage 1 kg
- salt 1 tsp
To make the marinade prepare:
- Vegetable oil 3 tbsp. l (45-50 gr)
- Sesame 1 tablespoon (15 g)
- Ground red pepper (hot) 1 tsp
- Ground smoked paprika 1 tsp
- Sugar or honey 1 tsp. l
- Garlic 4-5 cloves
- Apple cider vinegar, or lemon juice 2 tbsp
Cut the Chinese cabbage into fairly large pieces.
Put the cabbage in a deep salad bowl, add salt and knead well with your hands. The salt should be evenly distributed over the cabbage.
To prepare the marinade, combine sesame seeds, spices, sugar, chopped garlic, apple cider vinegar, or lemon juice in a hot pan.
Heat all ingredients over high heat. Bring the marinade to a boil, and cook it for another minute. The marinade is quite thick and incredibly fragrant.
Pour the prepared cabbage with hot marinade and mix well. The instant snack is ready.
Before serving, the appetizer can be additionally sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Spicy cabbage will be an ideal addition to meat dishes.
